A Business Development, finance and Strategy professional, Sumit has 15+ years of diversified industry experience across verticals including real estate, infrastructure and manufacturing. He has extensive experience in business development for residential, commercial, mixed use and Industrial assets space across India. Sumit specializes in deal evaluation & analysis, efficient commercial structuring, funding and investment decision making for residential, commercial and mixed use development assets.
Sumit currently works as Business Head – Mumbai with The Vibe Realty, a niche real estate startup focusing on Development and Services in Real Estate, with current presence in and focus on Mumbai/MMR and Pune markets. As the Business Head, Sumit leads the regional cross functional teams responsible for Project Execution (incl. Appointment of consultants, Design, Approvals, Legal and Launch Readiness) as well as New Projects acquisition & Investments. Before Vibe, Sumit worked with Kolte Patil Developers Ltd. (KPDL) , leading land acquisition & Investments for Mumbai & MMR markets & providing support for Pune & Bangalore markets.
Prior to this, Sumit was part of Kanakia Group focusing on BD for Mumbai & MMR markets. Sumit was part of Business Development team at Godrej Properties and was responsible for land acquisition for residential, mixed use developments & townships for Pune market. Prior to Godrej, he was part of Strategy and development for Mahindra Group’s real estate and infrastructure arm Mahindra Lifespaces, which is a pioneer and leader in integrated business cities and large format developments in India. Prior to his MBA, he has worked with GE Motors India, which was an integral part of GE Industrial systems, USA.
Sumit holds an MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai, a Masters in Business Laws (MBL) from NLSIU, Bangalore and a BE from PEC, Chandigarh.
